I don’t know if it’s just me, but I have been using a lot more digital marketing lately. I have been taking my blog and social media site seriously and have been focusing my efforts on social media marketing, but I’ve noticed that as much as I’ve been focusing on it, I’m not quite as successful.
I have to put it this way: I am not, nor have I ever been as good at digital marketing as I want to be. It’s a skill set, and I am not a master of it. But that doesn’t mean I can’t use it. To some extent, I have been doing it, but I don’t think I’m quite as good as I would like to be.
I think that the reason I can get so good at marketing and not so good at other skills is because I lack self-awareness. In other words, I think I really know about digital marketing, but I have no idea what I am getting myself into. For all I know, I could be doing a great job and I am not. It’s a big thing though.
I know it probably sounds like I am making excuses. But they are not. I just dont know what I know. I have to do my research.
